Greetings,
Hope you all had a pleasant 4th of July celebration. This was the first time in several years we were able to see a firework display. It was beautiful. Earlier in the day we went on a Texas Wildlife Safari and had a blast. We fed the animals as they walked up to our car. (Check out the video page!) It was quite an experience to say the least. We had a blast and so did Zion.
David just finished up another 21 day mission. He was voted the top instructor by the class for the second time in a row. I am very proud of him! God has really given him favor here with his fellow instructors and with the other soldiers as well. They call on him a lot to do counseling when the Chaplain is not available. Since he just finished up a mission, he has a 4 day weekend and we are looking forward to spending some quality time at home and maybe seeing some San Antonio sights that we haven't seen yet.
Zion is doing well and growing into a full blown toddler. He seems to be doing something new everyday. Today David looked over and realized that he had climbed up on his highchair and was hanging onto the tray for dear life. He loves to climb!
The baby will be here in 12 weeks from now. The time is coming fast and we are getting very excited to meet her. We're looking forward to hearing from you! Til then!
Amanda
Happy Independance Day
